Sustainability

Sustainability at Genève Invest

Investing in sustainable financial products is often associated with ESG criteria. These three letters stand for “Environmental, Social, and Governance,” which can be translated as environmental and climate protection, social issues and human rights, and corporate governance.

When it comes to environmental and climate protection, the efficient and economical use of resources, emissions, and innovation are key factors in protecting our planet’s natural resources. In the area of social responsibility and human rights, the treatment of employees, respect for human rights, ethnic groups, diversity, consumer protection, animal welfare, and responsibility for one’s own products are essential aspects that should be taken into account in all societal impacts of a company’s activities. Human dignity should always be respected, and good conditions should prevail for everyone. Relevant to corporate governance are the conduct and compensation of senior management, management structures, and the company’s conduct toward its owners. Ethical principles should be characterized above all by transparency and fairness, both toward the public and within the company.

The company Genève Invest

Transparency and accountability are deeply rooted in our corporate culture. Compliance with international and national laws, as well as our ethical principles, guide our actions. We place great emphasis on creating sustainable, long-term value to ensure our customers' satisfaction.

The Investment Process

Genève Invest is convinced that sustainability is a central issue of our time and will shape global developments in the future. For this reason, we support the global transition toward a sustainable, climate-neutral, and socially responsible economy. Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) factors are taken into account in our fundamental analyses. Our focus is on investments that offer long-term value rather than on speculative positions that promise short-term gains with high risk.

Discretionary wealth management based on individual securities allows us to take our clients’ specific preferences into account. We avoid investing in companies associated with weapons, violations of human rights and labor rights, corruption and bribery, nuclear energy, tobacco, and alcohol. Clients can provide detailed requirements to our team of wealth managers.

Sustainable investment criteria are taken into account when evaluating investment decisions. Our analysis and documentation processes are not yet comprehensive enough to allow us to promote investments that take ESG and sustainability criteria into account. In our opinion, there is currently a lack of an independent and objective database that would enable reliable classification of companies and prevent greenwashing. Our stated goal is to be able to offer investments and products in the future that comply with Article 8 of the Disclosure Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2019/2088).
